What is TrueOTP?+
TrueOTP is a virtual number service that provides temporary, disposable phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes (OTP). The service operates entirely online, requiring no physical SIM card or additional application.
What are temporary virtual numbers used for?+
Temporary virtual numbers are primarily used to protect your personal phone number while interacting with online services that require SMS verification. Common use cases include creating accounts on social networks, marketplaces, and messaging platforms; maintaining privacy during sign-ups; and bypassing geographic restrictions when registering with services in other countries.
Is the service anonymous and private?+
Yes. No personal phone number or physical SIM card is required. Your identity remains private throughout the process. We recommend using the service over a secure connection for additional privacy.
Numbers & Countries
Can I choose the country of the virtual number?+
Yes. Our platform supports a wide selection of countries. You can browse available countries, compatible services, and starting prices directly on the home page, even before creating an account.
Can I choose a specific area code (DDD) for the virtual number?+
No. Area codes are assigned automatically from the selected country's available number pool and cannot be specified by the user.
How long is a virtual number active?+
Each virtual number remains active for up to 20 minutes from the moment of purchase. After this period, the number is automatically deactivated for the selected service.
How does the number purchase process work?+
To purchase a virtual number: (1) top up your account balance, (2) select the target service β the application or platform from which you expect to receive the SMS β and (3) select the desired country. Each purchase is tied to a specific service; only SMS messages from that service will be received on the number.
Can the same number be used for multiple services?+
No. Each number is purchased for a specific service and can only receive SMS from that service. A separate number must be purchased for each additional service or account activation.
Codes & Delivery
How long does it take to receive the SMS code?+
SMS codes are typically delivered within 30 seconds. In some cases, delivery may take up to 3 minutes due to carrier routing or delays on the destination platform's side.
Can I cancel a number purchase?+
Yes. If no SMS has been received on the purchased number, you may cancel the order and the full amount will be credited back to your account balance immediately.
The SMS code is not arriving. What should I do?+
If no code is received within the expected timeframe, cancel the current order to recover your balance and request a new number for the same service. Number availability varies in real time, so a different number may deliver the code successfully.
I received an invalid or incorrect code. What should I do?+
If the SMS was delivered but the code was rejected by the destination platform, you must submit a complete, unedited screen recording of the activation attempt to our support team. The recording must show the code being received, entered, and rejected by the platform. Our team will review the case and, if eligible, issue a credit to your account balance.
The platform shows no available numbers. What should I do?+
If no numbers are available for the selected country and service, try the request again. If the issue persists, wait a few minutes before retrying β number availability fluctuates continuously as orders are placed and released in real time.
Rules & Policies
Are there usage limits?+
Yes. Repeatedly cancelling orders without receiving any codes may be interpreted as misuse of the system. Accounts exhibiting this pattern may be temporarily restricted from placing new purchases.
How does the refund policy work?+
Refunds for invalid codes are issued exclusively as account balance credits β never to the original payment source. A valid refund request requires a continuous, unedited screen recording documenting the complete activation flow, from code receipt through rejection by the destination platform. If no SMS was received, the balance is automatically restored when the order expires, without the need to contact support.
Is there a minimum balance requirement?+
There is no fixed minimum balance. You must have sufficient funds to cover the price of the number you wish to purchase. Prices vary by country and service and can be reviewed on the home page before creating an account.

Is API access available?+
Yes. In addition to the web dashboard, TrueOTP provides API access for developers who need to automate number purchases, code retrieval, and order management within their own systems or workflows.
Servers
What are the servers and how do they work?+
The service operates with servers ranked by success rate and stability. Each server represents a different SMS delivery route with distinct reliability and cost characteristics.
What is the difference between Server 1 and Server 2?+
Server 1 is the premium server: it has the highest success rate and best stability, making it the recommended choice for critical activations. Server 2 is the more affordable option, but may experience occasional delivery instabilities.
Which server should I choose?+
If reliability is a priority, choose Server 1 (premium). If you want to save money and can accept some risk of occasional instability, Server 2 can be a good alternative.
